In its Annual General Meeting last Wednesday, the University College London Students’ Union voted to sever links with the military and to prohibit recruitment at union-organised events.

On February 14, the London School of Economics Students’ Union overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling on the National Union of Students to divest from companies which provide military and commercial support to the Israeli occupation.

The British government’s continued support for Indonesia’s occupation of West Papua belies its professed commitment to human rights, democracy and freedom.

Sigh - again with the “shared values” routine.
