ukwatch needs volunteers!
At present, ukwatch needs volunteers to help maintain the project in good working order. The size of our collective has swelled and shrunk over the years but at present the total input that is available from the current members is insufficient to run the site as we would wish. However, we are confident that with more people on board we can maintain a high quality site, and indeed improve it.
The most pressing need at present is for volunteers who can help with the editorial work of the site, although there are many other tasks to be done - people who wish to write, blog or interview for the site are very welcome. People with technical skills, especially if they have experience with the drupal content management system, are also very welcome. However, anyone who simply wants to make any kind of contribution to the running of the site should get in touch - we have work for you! All we need from you is that you share our progressive values and can specify a minimal commitment to the project.
We are mostly based in London and Oxford and though most of our communication takes place through email, people in these areas will be better placed to attend our irregular editorial meetings. However, not being located anywhere near there certainly will not prevent you from making a positive contribution to ukwatch.
If you are interested please contact us telling us a bit about yourself, your politics and how you think you can help the site, and we promise to get back to you promptly.
